SD/SDHC Memory Cards
The Tachyon XC takes 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, & 32GB cards.
We recommend using an 8GB card or larger for longer recording times.
We also suggest that you use Class 6 10MB/s or above. The faster the card is, the better.
Shock Proofing
The Tachyon XC's patented shock proofing technology ensures that your camera will not shut down and lose your video files, even in the most demanding of extreme activities.
Waterproofing
The Tachyon XC's integrated waterproofing design lets you shoot underwater to a depth of 2 Atmospheres (34 Feet or 10.3 Meters. This design also protects against spray, mud, grease, rain, and snow. If you go deeper than this, the camera may still record, but the buttons may no longer function due to the increased water pressure.
Temperature Ranges
The working temperature range for the Tachyon XC is from 15 to 125 Degrees Fahrenheit, or about -20 to +50 Centigrade. But try not to keep it too long near either of these extremes.
Batteries
Name-Brand Alkaline Batteries will give you around 2:45 (Energizer) - 3:10 (Duracell) hours of recording time, but much less in cold weather. So do NOT use these in the cold.
Energizer Lithium/Ultimate Lithium Batteries will give you up to 10 hours of recording time. These are highly recommended, especially for cold weather.
Computer System Compatibility
WinXP/Vista & Mac OS X
The 3D Video Maker software is compatible only with the Windows OS. It is NOT compatible with Mac or Linux systems.
See our online manual in the menu above for more details on all of these specs.
